How does the school system work in Finland ?

i think our french education is like a contest. Everyone has to follow the class rythm whereas yours is rather personal. There isn't the same atmosphere in each class-room.

In finnish school system we can select which subjects we want to study more than others. It's great because it gives you a lot more possibilities for you to choose

Do you think this type of educational system fits to everyone ? Don't you have compulsory subjects ? If nobody choose history, don't you think that could be dangerous in the future because they won' t at all understand what's happening in the world ? If nobody choose science, don't you think it could be dangerous because one can't be able to understand new discoveries and make sure the media is publishing reliable data ?
